Holster Use and Training.

 

 

At Shadow Defensive we believe that you are only as good as your training and equipment. With special emphasis on training. We have a saying:

"You don't rise to the occasion, you fall back to your most repeated level of training"

That can't be more true. Take a look at self defense encounters and Law Enforcement involved shootings. Poorly and inadequately trained persons perform way different then the ones who effectively train and condition themselves.

C. Lyle of Gunfighting Systems LLC constantly references the need for repetition. It takes around 3000 repetitions to fully build neural pathways and effective mussel memory. In other words, it takes 3000 times drawing from concealment to make it a reflexive action. That is a high standard. But carrying a tool designed to kill quickly and efficiently requires high standards. 

 

 

We implore all who use our products to practice as often as possible and to train to the highest level within your ability. 

It is our hope that we can do some part in helping you build the foundations for training. while we always recommend seeking effective training opportunities we are committed to doing what we can to help our customers on the journey to becoming more effective protectors. 

 

 

One of the things that is often overlooked is belts. In my opinion a belt must be worn when carrying with very few exceptions. The kind of belt does matter.
